The detectors are usually supplied in a separate housing and wired back to the readout unit. The readout unit consists of a microprocessor controller with between one and eight channel 4-20 mA current loop amplifiers, analogue to digital converter and a DC power supply to power the current loop. The microprocessor drives the large light emitting diode display and also has programming functions to set up the scale required and to set the alarm levels. The unit may be provided with internal audio and/or visual alarms and has the capability to switch external alarms or turn other equipment on or off. Sensor heads are available for detecting Flammable gases, Methane, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, Sulphur Dioxide, Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Chlorine, Ammonia, Hydrogen Chloride, Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen, and Flammable gases. Sensor/transmitters are mounted in sturdy well sealed boxes, are C-Tick compliant, and are supplied with a calibration certificate and calibration adaptor. APP-TEK single channel controllers operate on 240V, 50HZ, with single 4-20mA current loop input, and 2 alarm setpoints with relay outputs. APP-TEK 8 channel controllers operate on 240V, 50HZ, with 8 isolated 4-20mA current loop inputs and 2 alarm setpoints per channel with relay output. |
